This fajita tortilla soup contains no gluten. The soup is thickened with gluten-free flour and the optional corn tortillas should be gluten free.

The veggies can have a texture or appearance that kids may not want to eat. Pureeing the veggies will take the texture issues away as well as “hiding” the vegetables. Kids will not even know that they are eating vegetables!
Try a lick!
Sometimes a bite is a big commitment to kids, but getting them to try a lick is manageable! This fajita tortilla soup tastes amazing, and if they take a lick and like it, then they are more likely to take a bite!
Watch the heat!
Using jalapeno peppers will drastically increase the heat of the soup. Kids can be really sensitive to spice. Instead of putting the jalapenos in the soup, add them as garnish for the adults that want the heat! You can also add sour cream to help tame some of the heat!
